This course examines the risks, rewards, and responsibilities of team leadership through the lens of the team captain. Students will learn what it takes to become a team leader “whom coaches respect and teammates trust” through leadership by example and voice. Students will learn to lead by example through their own commitment, confidence, composure, and character as well as through their voices of encouragement, inspiration, correction, construction, and management.
