Students may transfer up to six (6) credit hours of prior graduate-level coursework toward a Bethany graduate program, provided the following conditions are met:
- Course Content and Grade Requirements
- The course must be at the graduate level and substantially equivalent in content to a specific Bethany course.
- A grade of B or higher must have been earned.
- Course equivalency is determined at the discretion of the Program Director.
- Required Documentation
- Students must submit a full and complete syllabus for each course they wish to transfer.
- A Transfer Request Form, available from the Registrar (registrar@bethanywv.edu), must be submitted along with the required documentation.
- All materials must be submitted with the application for admission. Transfer requests submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
- Course Age Limit: Courses must have been completed within the last five academic years at the time the Transfer Request Form is filed.
- Impact on Full-Time Status: Because graduate courses are offered in rotation, approved transfer credits may affect a student's full-time enrollment status and program progression.
- Transferring Future Coursework from Another Institution
- Students intending to take graduate coursework elsewhere for future transfer to Bethany must obtain written approval in advance from the Program Director.
- The Transfer Request Form must be signed by both the student and the Program Director and submitted before beginning coursework at the other institution.
- Requests submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
The student is solely responsible for initiating and completing the transfer credit application process.
