RDNG 647: Reading Assessment and Instruction

During this course, students conduct a comprehensive examination of research-based reading assessment tools. Students use both informal and formal reading assessments to plan and implement data-based instruction and plan for reading interventions. Scientifically-based reading intervention and effective reading program components will be modeled and practiced. A15- hour field experience is required. (This course may be taken for credit as RDNG 347.)
Prerequisites

EDUC 346; a passing score on PRAXIS I Core Academic Skills for Educators; admission to teacher education program or enrolled as a non-degree seeking student.
