The Master of Arts in Sport Management at Bethany College is committed to developing ethical, innovative, and strategic leaders in the sport industry. Through a comprehensive curriculum that integrates theory with practical application, students will gain expertise in leadership, marketing, finance, governance, and emerging technologies within the dynamic field of sport management. Our program emphasizes critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving, preparing graduates to navigate complex challenges and drive positive change in diverse sport organizations. The following learning outcomes outline the key objectives that guide students toward mastering the competencies required for successful careers in sport management:

Application of Sport Management Knowledge: Students will demonstrate their ability to apply foundational sport management principles and concepts, such as strategic planning, budgeting, marketing, and communication, to real-world sport organizations, ensuring they are prepared for leadership roles in the industry.
  2. Critical Thinking and Professional Development: Students will develop critical thinking skills by reflecting on and analyzing contemporary issues in sport management, such as ethical challenges, legal concerns, and emerging technologies, to continuously enhance their professional knowledge and effectiveness.

Leadership and Decision-Making in Sport Organizations: Students will evaluate and implement effective leadership strategies within sport organizations, drawing from best practices in governance, facility management, and interscholastic athletic administration, while fostering an inclusive and accountable environment.
