Mission
The Department of Biology fosters lifelong learning about the natural world by providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in biology and environmental science. The faculty are dedicated to active learning strategies and meaningful research opportunities, empowering students to engage directly in the practice of biology, environmental science, and exercise science.
Learning Outcomes
- Students will establish effective verbal, written, and visual communication skills consistent with the expectations of exercise science professionals.
- Students will demonstrate professional knowledge and collaborative understanding of the scientific facts, principles, and concepts of exercise science.
- Students will validate scientific knowledge and skills equivalent to the standards of graduate program entry of their choosing,
